Laura I. Mezei, MHA is the herbalist and founder of Blessed Birches. She received her Masters in Health Arts degree from Goddard College. The title of her thesis is “Healing Autism: An Earth-Centered Journey Toward Ending an Environmental Illness”. She is a certified Herbalist, Aromatherapist, and Flower Essence Practitioner who follows the Defeat Autism Now! Philosophy and methods. Laura also has many years experience in special education and music. She has taught children with autism in the public schools and offers music therapy sessions privately. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from the University of Hartford.

Laura spoke at the New England Women's Herbal Conference in New Hampshire, August 25-27, 2006.  Her lectures were "Healing Autism" and "Vaccination Awareness." Audio tapes of the lectures are available upon request.

In the Fall of 2006 Laura published an article in "New Developements", the newsletter of the Developmental Delay Resources Organization, entitled "Herbal Medicine for Children with Developmental Delays".
